Mental Health Diagnostic Evaluation

Diagnostic Evaluations

Our clinical psychologists provide diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults to determine an accurate diagnosis for a specific mental health issue. Diagnostic evaluations provided are brief in nature and do not include full psychological testing. If full psychological testing is more clinically appropriate, related referrals will be provided.

Diagnostic evaluations are typically conducted in one or two appointments and include a clinical interview as well as multiple clinical assessments.

Diagnostic evaluations are valuable in supporting:

  • Treatment planning and therapeutic interventions

  • Medication management

  • Potential academic accommodations for children, adolescents, and college students

Diagnostic evaluations conducted are appropriate for issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, adjustment issues, eating disorders, and children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues.

Diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder are available only for adults with moderate to high‑functioning Autism and are provided for the purpose of informing and supporting treatment.
