On a Video Call

Telehealth

Telehealth is an option for patients who prefer to do therapy virtually via video or audio only. Telehealth can be provided to individuals who reside throughout the state of Michigan. Research shows telehealth to be just as effective as in person treatment (Hilty, et al, 2013).

Telehealth can provide:

  • Increased flexibility and convenience in scheduling

  • Increased access to treatment

  • Increased ability for busy professionals to engage in treatment

  • The ability for individuals to have therapy sessions from the comfort of their own home

  • The ability for college students to see the same therapist when they are away at college and when at home

Telehealth does require an internet or phone connection and is not appropriate for those with more severe mental health issues. Telehealth is provided using a HIPPA compliant platform that prioritizes confidentiality and security.
